Approach
The most common mistake is choosing the LED strip first and fitting the structure around it. The right order is the opposite – structure first, product on the structure’s terms.
This site covers bulkhead depth, glare shield height, framing dimensions and strip placement in the profile. Products and installation are handled by LedStore.

The structures
01
New build · Plasterboard work
When the ceiling is open and the electrician is on site, do it properly. A light cove or dropped ceiling gives the best light quality, full glare protection and the cleanest finish. Requires 50-350 mm of ceiling height.

Renovation · Framing + plasterboard
A dropped shelf around the edges of the room combines indirect light, a curtain track and spotlights in one structure. Light goes up and down from under the bulkhead. A visually strong solution for larger rooms.
03
Finished home · No demolition
A wall profile or Z-profile at the wall-ceiling junction. No plasterboard work, no framing, no demolition. Installation time 2-3 hours per wall. Plug-in connection or added by an electrician. Also works in the bathroom (IP44).
The right order
How much strip and at what power. lm/m values, driver and voltage drop.
0230-50 mm, or 15-25 mm with the strip right behind the lip. Test seated – in the bedroom lying down.
03Zigbee, TRIAC or DALI. Decide before the electrical plan – the cabling depends on it.
04The reflecting surface changes the Kelvin. Wood panelling turns 4000 K into 3200 K.
