Working with LedStore

LedStore works with electricians, electrical designers, interior designers, architects and construction companies. For professionals we offer:

  • Construction drawings as PDF (CAD coming) – to attach to electrical and construction drawings
  • Made-to-measure service – profiles cut to length and strip fitted to your dimensions, per project
  • Quantity take-off – strip metres, profiles, drivers and controls from your drawings
  • Lighting design cooperation – a complete plan or technical consultation
  • Trade prices – separately agreed prices for volume customers
  • Invoice and trade account – easier order management for projects

What indirect light requires from each professional

Indirect lighting is a construction detail, not a luminaire. It passes across the desks of three designers and two contractors, and most mistakes happen at the interfaces: nobody drew the access hatch, the box was built to the wrong depth, the control cable was never pulled.

Electrical designer

Driver locations and supplies, 24 V cable routes and their lengths, control method and groups. Zigbee and DALI are cabled completely differently, so the control method must be decided before the drawings. Long runs are fed from both ends because of voltage drop.

Contractor and electrician

Installation order: studs, cables, profile, glare test, boarding. A plaster-in profile is installed before the board, a surface profile last on the painted surface. The driver location is left accessible – never plastered in.

Architect and interior designer

Box depth and opening width are fixed at the ceiling design stage. The ceiling finish decides the power needed: a dark ceiling needs almost twice the strip power. Colour temperature is chosen for the surface and use, and the glare shield for the viewing position.

How a project runs

  1. Send the basics. A dimensioned floor plan, room heights and ceiling material, the structure and control method you have in mind, and the schedule.
  2. Structure and product proposal. LedStore proposes a suitable structure, profile and strip for each space and does the quantity take-off.
  3. Plan or quote. A quote for a contract project free of charge. A fuller lighting plan with calculations from €199.
  4. Made to measure. Profiles are cut and strips fitted to your dimensions, so there is no cutting or soldering on site.
  5. Delivery and support. Technical support during installation, and if needed a meeting with the electrical designer or architect.

The earlier, the cheaper

When lighting is included before the electrical drawings, box depth, driver locations and control cables go into the plans at no extra cost. After boarding, every change means demolition.

Technical support

LedStore specialists help with technical sizing, driver selection and overall lighting design. In cooperation projects we can also join meetings with the electrical designer or architect.

Frequently asked questions

What does indirect lighting require from a professional?

Understanding the structure before choosing the luminaire. Indirect lighting is a construction detail whose dimensions are fixed with the ceiling design, not a luminaire chosen at the end.

Can I get a quote for a project?

Yes. LedStore quotes contract projects free of charge, and lighting design starts from €199. Quantity take-off can be done from the construction drawings.

What does made to measure mean?

Profiles are cut and the LED strip is fitted to them in advance to the dimensions and strip you choose. On site the profile is simply fixed and connected – no cutting, soldering or offcuts.

Can LedStore join a design meeting?

Yes. In cooperation projects a LedStore specialist can join a meeting with the electrical designer, architect or contractor so that structure, electrics and lighting are agreed in one go.

Is there a warranty on indirect lighting?

LedStore strips carry a 3–5 year warranty depending on the model. The 5-year warranty on the SMD series is sized for the operating hours of public spaces.

Who is responsible for the sizing?

The designer is responsible for the illuminance and the contractor for the installation. LedStore lighting design produces calculations you can rely on.
