Who writes this
Builder, lighting designer.
I have built four detached houses for my family and renovated several properties over two decades. In building projects I have also been involved in the electrical work, so I can follow what an electrical plan means for the luminaires.
I have worked with LED lighting for more than 15 years. It started with my own houses – when you buy a thousand metres of strip for your first house, you learn quickly what works and what does not. Today LedStore has produced more than a thousand lighting plans and manufactured tens of thousands of metres of made-to-measure LED strip.
I wrote the lighting design book Lighting Design in Practice – available in Kindle and paperback editions. I also developed LightingDesigner.io, a browser-based design tool.
This site exists because during construction there was not a single source that gave the right dimensions for boxing in indirect light. Now there is.
